Vegan Breakfast Oatmeal Bowl with Macadamia Nuts, Blood Oranges & Dark Chocolate Chips

Start your day with this nutritious Vegan Breakfast Oatmeal Bowl with Macadamia Nuts, Blood Oranges & Dark Chocolate Chips. Your breakfast is ready in 5 minutes. It’s creamy and so flavourful, perfect for improving your morning mood.

How about breakfast ready in 5 minutes? Or you can start your day without eating breakfast, like me. :)

This breakfast is a healthy indulgence, though. I do eat breakfast during the weekend, so I like to make it extra special, and take my time with it, enjoy every bite.

Breakfast is your first meal of the day, hence the words break and fast, meaning breaking the overnight fasting state of your digestive system. Simple! It does matter how you start your day, and what you first put in your body. So, take time to plan your breakfast, and make it count. If you prefer a savoury breakfast over a sweet one, go for it. I’ll share a recipe with you later this spring. It’s another of my fave tasty alternatives to a laid-back weekend breakfast.

Now, let’s get back to this delicious oatmeal bowl. Are you a fan of oatmeal? I find them very filling, and they give you just the right amount of energy to go about your day. If you want to read more on the benefits of oats, here’s a good article for you to check out.

And, if we’re considering oats for breakfast, go for the best kind there is. I recommend the organic sprouted oats. It’s best to choose healthy grains and also sprouted if you have that option. Why sprouted? Seeds and grains are best when consumed sprouted because sprouting ‘unlocks’ all the benefits and are more gentle on the digestive system. I’m sure that for some of you, this is not an entirely new concept, but if it is, I encourage you to search more on the sprouting benefits. It’s all about nourishing your beautiful body.

Why blood oranges? Because they’re amazingly delicious. So sweet and beautifully coloured. And, the regular oranges work as well. Citrus is still in season, or at the end, so I thought that it’s the best time to add them to a breakfast recipe. Fresh and citrusy, they balance the taste of the flavorful and creamy oatmeal, topped with the crunchy and buttery macadamia nuts.

But wait! We’re taking it a step further and sprinkling some dark chocolate chips on top fo the already decadent breakfast bowl. Trust me when I say that the addition of the choco chips will blow your taste buds away. It’s excellent, my friends! It’s a breakfast recipe you can’t miss.

The recipe here is so quick that I don’t think it can get any faster, except if you spread butter on a slice of bread.

Try it and guaranteed you’ll love it! Share the recipe with others, and they’ll thank you.

Happy Breakfasting! :)
